Bollywood dancing is referred to as dance presented in Hindi Cinema-- the largest film industry across the globe, which is based in Mumbai. The word Bollywood is the fuse of two names Bombay(Mumbai) and Hollywood. Similarly, it also inhibits eastern and western flavors of dancing and music. India consists of classical and traditional dance forms like Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Kathakali, Kuchipudi, Manipuri, and Oddisi, and also folk dances like Garba, Bhangra, Ghoomar, and many other dance forms all over the country. These Indian dance forms are typically blended with western dance styles like jazz, hip-hop, salsa, tango, and contemporary creating a unique dance style called Bollywood dance.

 

Bollywood dancing develops natural rhythm, balance, and flexibility, strengthens coordination skills, tones the body, and also relieves stress.

            Bollywood dancing has been showcased in many award-winning music videos like “Come and get it” by Selena Gomez, also showcased several times every year on famous reality shows So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars.

            Today, Andaaz brings you this fusion dance in the form of dance classes in a much more joyful and friendly atmosphere.
